Yesterday I got back from the gym and took out a protein bar to snack on. As I finished it I looked on the back ingredients and was horrified when I read all the crazy unhealthy ingredients put into the protein bar. Although it claimed to be "healthy" and "full of nutrients" it seemed the complete opposite.

I decided to take it upon myself to come up with a healthy protein bar recipe to provide me with the right nutrients to feed my body after I work out. In addition to being healthy, I just recently found out I have gluten and dairy intolerances, so I found some perfect protein bars to help achieve each of my goals. Try these bars for a healthy alternative to store protein bars after you workout or even just for a nutritious snack!
