Minneapolis, MN - After nine seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, it appears as if CB Antoine Winfield has been released by the team.

Winfield, 35 years old, was in the final year of his deal with the Vikings. As a Viking, Winfield recorded 606 tackles and 21 interceptions.

The move leaves the Vikings with Chris Cook, A.J. Jefferson, Josh Robinson, and Marcus Sherels at the CB position.

The move clears up another $7.25 million on the cap space moving the Vikings into the low $20 million range with free agency only an hour and a half away. The team's recent moves reak of a team that is preparing to make a big splash on the free agent market.
