Minneapolis, MN - News broke mid-week that Minnesota Vikings (should have been pro bowl) center John Sullivan will be on the shelf for 3-4 months after undergoing micro fracture surgery on his left knee last week.

Sullivan, who was part of the the Vikings offensive line who started in each of the team's 17 games last season, is expected to miss some of the team's off season workout program including OTAs and mini camps in June. If all goes according to plan, Sullivan should be healed and ready to take the field come late July when 2013 Training Camp kicks off in Mankato, MN.

John underwent successful surgery last week in Florida with doctor James Andrews

Sullivan has been the Vikings starting center since 2009 and has proven to be pretty durable over that time.  He will join Paul Allen in-studio Friday to discuss his recovery and off-season plans.
