American Idol said goodbye to C.J. Harris last Thursday after his performances of Guess Who's "American Woman" and Zac Brown Band's "Whatever It Is" failed to strike the right chord with voters. Jessica Meuse, no stranger to the chopping block, sat alongside Harris in the bottom two but was ultimately spared. After a tearful rendition of Marshall Tucker Band's "Can't You See," Harris took his leave.

Harris told Ryan Seacrest, "I probably would have picked a better song choice," when asked if he wished he had done anything differently last week.

Contestants this Wednesday won't have to toil over song choice like Harris did, as that power is in viewer's hands. Tune in Wednesday as America picks two songs for each contestant to perform and Jason Mraz stops by to mentor. Thursday's elimination episode will whittle the group of performers down to a final five.

Tune in to FOX Wed 8/7c and Thu 9/8c to watch.

Remaining Contestants:

Sam Woolf

Alex Preston

Caleb Johnson

Jena Irene

Jessica Meuse
