The Cook-a-Thon is a 24-hour volunteer event where teams of six help Open Arms of Minnesota prepare and package 11,000 meals for families in the Twin Cities living with life-threatening illnesses in just 24 hours. The goal of the event is to raise $120,000 to support free, nutritious meals for neighbors in need, so each team is asked to raise at least $750 to support their volunteer shift. Along the way, teams will compete in contests for prizes, enjoy a fun-filled volunteer experience, get limited-edition aprons to take home and make a huge impact for people in our community living with life-threatening illnesses.
