The Next Bachelorette Is A Minnesotan

A few years ago, I got into The Bachelor thanks to my roommate, but I have to admit I did not watch this season. I didn't know who Ari was, so I had no desire to watch. BUT now that they have announced the next Bachelorette is a Minnesotan, I'm back in!

Becca Kufrin, a 27-year-old Publicist from Prior Lake, was announced as the next Bachelorette. Becca originally won Arie's season of The Bachelor on Monday, but the engagement was called off a month after the proposal when Arie broke up with her (on camera) and went back to his runner-up, Lauren Burnham.

The news was revealed during the "After the Final Rose" episode on Tuesday night, and Kufrin said that she's ready to fall in love again.

According to CNN:

"I want to find love," she said. "I want to meet so many amazing guys. I'm ready to do this."

Meanwhile, Luyendyk proposed to Burnham in front of a room full of seemingly indifferent "Bachelor Nation" fans.

Season 14 of ABC's "The Bachelorette" premieres May 28.
