The movie "Elf" came out 17 years ago and I'm surprised it took this long for someone to do this!
There's a 40-year-old guy named Doug Henning from Eliot, Maine and he grew up in an adopted family. But after putting in quite a bit of work on Ancestry.com, he managed to connect with his biological dad, according to Boston.com.
His biological Dad, Raul, flew from Colombia to Boston to meet Doug for the first time over Thanksgiving. But because everything today has to be on social media or it didn't happen, Doug decided to dress in a full Buddy the Elf costume and do Will Ferrell's father-and-son bit from "Elf".
Turns out Doug's Dad has never seen the movie. So he was mostly confused as to why is son dressed up as a giant elf and just kinda ignored his son acting like a fool as he walked up to hug him. You can watch the video of their reunion below.
