We’re sure you’ve heard of “cuffing season” but what about “nuffing season?” Coined by dating app “Badoo,” “nuffing” is kinda the opposite of “cuffing” – rather than rushing into something to be “cuffed,” it’s all about taking your time, meeting people, and not quickly getting committed.
In fact, only a quarter of Gen Z wants to settle down and 41% of millennials. The rest? They just want to “date casually and have fun” with 77% of Gen Z saying that still enjoy going out with people.
Does this no-pressure dating sound appealing? Before you decide that “nuffing” is for you, Natasha Briefel at “Badoo” has the following tips:
- Be honest about what you want. Like if you want serious or to just date casually.
- Focus on building genuine connections. Have convos first to get to know someone more intimately and then think about where the relationship is going.
- Don’t let your time be wasted. Know what you want and don’t settle for anything less.
- Make the most of dating in its entirety. Focus on having fun and enjoying the whole journey!
- Prioritize yourself sometimes. It’s OK to take breaks from dating and have some self-care.
