“Nuffing Season” Is the Anti “Cuffing Season”

We’re sure you’ve heard of “cuffing season” but what about “nuffing season?” Coined by dating app “Badoo,” “nuffing” is kinda the opposite of “cuffing” – rather than rushing into something to be “cuffed,” it’s all about taking your time, meeting people, and not quickly getting committed.

In fact, only a quarter of Gen Z wants to settle down and 41% of millennials. The rest? They just want to “date casually and have fun” with 77% of Gen Z saying that still enjoy going out with people.

Does this no-pressure dating sound appealing? Before you decide that “nuffing” is for you, Natasha Briefel at “Badoo” has the following tips:

  • Be honest about what you want. Like if you want serious or to just date casually.
  • Focus on building genuine connections. Have convos first to get to know someone more intimately and then think about where the relationship is going.
  • Don’t let your time be wasted. Know what you want and don’t settle for anything less.
  • Make the most of dating in its entirety. Focus on having fun and enjoying the whole journey!
  • Prioritize yourself sometimes. It’s OK to take breaks from dating and have some self-care.
