Austin surprised me Friday night with VIP tickets to see Guardians of the Galaxy 2. We nibbled on some apps, tasted a few drinks and sank into the squishy chairs. If you liked the first Guardians you will LOVE this one. Groot stole my heart.
FINALLY I CAN TELL THE WORLD! My sister's husband flew her home from Switzerland to celebrate her BIG 3-0 with family and friends. She was told she was going to California- but her plane took a left turn toward HOME. I haven't seen her since Christmas. This photograph is what a heart bursting with happiness looks like. My mini me was mine for a weekend.
The birthday celebration for my sister had us road tripping to Stillwater, MN. Austin and I got there early to sip on a few before a sunset boat cruise.
My sister had no idea while she was eating dinner her whole family and life long friends had boarded the Anastasia Boat&Packet on the St. Croix. We all waited quietly until we could see her, then we erupted in the Happy Birthday song as she walked toward the water. Once she realized the boat was filled with her loved ones- she fell to the ground in tears. Best. Surprise. Ever. We cruised right into the Saturday night sunset.
One of my favorite things to do is give Austin "Just Cuz" gifts. These are gifts to remind him that the things he does for me day in and day out don't go unnoticed. No other reason than- Just Cuz. My little way of saying thank you for being mine. He has been looking at watches for a while now so I thought it was about TIME to make him smile. He did :)
Sunday morning was the kinda Minnesota weather I live for. Austin and I walked along the river in Stillwater waking up slowly. The goal: find the breakfast of champions...and we did just that. Chocolate and Snickers Malts. Nothing better at 9AM in my world.
