At the age of 60, Lewis is no longer going to act.
Daniel Day-Lewis is calling it a career.
The three-time Oscar winner announced today (Tuesday) that he's retiring from acting.
In a statement, his spokeswoman, Leslee Dart, said, “Daniel Day-Lewis will no longer be working as an actor. He is immensely grateful to all of his collaborators and audiences over the many years. This is a private decision and neither he nor his representatives will make any further comment on this subject. ”
The 60-year-old's last movie will be an untitled drama from director Paul Thomas Anderson (There Will Be Blood). It is scheduled to hit theaters on December 25th.
