The Biggest Wedding Trends Of 2019

Currently I'm planning a wedding with my fiance, Matt, which means I know first hand how expensive a wedding can be. Well, Pure Wow just released a list of the biggest 2019 wedding trends and I would love to know where these brides are getting this kind of money, or how they have this kind of time! After looking at prices of things for almost a year, I would love to know how they afford this over-the-top wedding decor! Anyways, Pure Wow lays out the list of 2019 wedding trends below:

VELVET TABLE LINENS

What’s haute for tablescapes? Lush, cozy velvety fabrics across napkins, runners and tablecloths. (We dig the drama.)

GRAZING TABLES

Sayonara, passed appetizers. 2019’s cocktail hour is all about a giant, gorgeous grazing table heaped with meats, cheeses, cruditĂ©s and the like.

ELABORATE SEATING CHARTS

Formerly a spot of function, escort card displays have officially become a huge decor moment. Flora and fauna directives—like citrus centerpiece meets seating chart—are particularly popular.

POLKA DOTS

This year’s runways were strewn with dainty Swiss dots, petite polkas and rounded bead appliquĂ©s. Playful? Check. Romantic? Check, check.

FOOD AS ART

Why should flowers have all the fun? Couples are thinking beyond the statement arrangements, with artful towers of sweets, cocktails—you name it.

FOODIE FAVORS

Party favors have taken a turn for the edible, with folks opting for petite provisions that hail from their wedding location or favorite memories. Think: Custom spice blends, mini olive oil decanters or artisanal honey pots.

INTERACTIVE SNACK STATIONS

Food stations are a fun way to spice up your menu—and your run of show. (WeddingWire creative director Jeffra Trumpower has seen a sharp uptick, specifically in tea bars, guacamole bars, popcorn bars and s’mores stations.)

CROP TOPS

We know—the scandal. But with casual microweddings and elopements on the rise, it’s no wonder that the premier bridal silhouette for 2019 says “modern” and “bridechilla."
