Shorter work weeks? Yes, please.
There’s a bill being considered in California that would shorten the workweek from 40 hours to 32 hours for companies with more than 500 employees.
Yep, a four-day workweek with five-day pay. And according to the proposed bill, employers could not reduce salary because of the reduced hours. The workday would still be eight hours, but any hours over 32 in a week would require overtime pay.
