Four Things to Quit Today to Be Happier

Want to be happier? Mindset and purpose coach Stefanie Elsperman says she knows how to make it happen. She shares positivity, advice and tips on staying mentally healthy -especially these days - with her 77-thousand TikTok followers and one of her videos that’s getting lots of attention is on four things to quit in order to feel happier.

“They were the things that held me back for years and years and years,” she told “In The Know.” “Once I gave them up, I was able to actually be free and go after my dreams.”

So what are these things Elsperman says we can give up in order to find our “ultimate happiness? In her video, she names:

  • Comparing yourself to others
  • Ignoring your intuition
  • Letting self-doubt cloud your decision making and
  • Giving up when life gets hard.

She explains that a big reason we struggle with these things has to do with expectations from society. She says we start paying more attention to what we’re told we should do and have instead of focusing on working toward something we actually want. And her advice? “Quit thinking about what other people are doing and you do you.”
