I have not been paid to recommend any of these products. Here are three things I'm loving this week! Let's get started...
1: Great Socks
Much to some people's chagrin, socks with sandals is a thing. For the record, I'm not mad about it. Any fashion reason to cover my feet is fine by me :) If you're gonna to go there- make your socks fabulous. Here are a few ideas to get you started...
*Bombas Socks. You get 20% off your first purchase. There are so many good options, I'm just linking the entire page.
*Retro Stripe Socks (my personal fave)
Get 10% off your first order from American Trench.
*Polka Dot Socks from Banana Republic, they're 50% off right now!!
#2: Finally Investing In a Patio Set That Will Go The Distance
As I posted this week, I've worked with By The Yard in the past. This patio set is the BEST.
After having a couple other patio sets over the years that were not only on the cheap side- but had to be moved into the garage and then dragged back out every spring- only to still lose their luster after a few years...was...bleeping frustrating.
Spending the extra money on this set was 100% worth it. If you spend as much time hanging outside as we do, consider an upgrade. You can thank me later :) By The Yard
#3: The Oh-So-Simple Chicken Recipe I'm Obsessed With
Before I begin, shout-out to my mother-in-law, Marilyn! She gave me this recipe, I've made it for three or four outdoor dinner parties and every single person has left our place asking for the recipe. It's so good...I dream about the sauce.
Bonus, it's simple. You can do everything but the grilling ahead of time. I'm a big fan of prepping before a party so I get to enjoy it too.
Recipe
Chicken:
Chunk the chicken and throw it in a plastic bag.
In a bowl, combine-
*3oz Pineapple Juice
*1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
*3T. Canola Oil
*A Few Shakes Of Lemon Pepper
Marinate the chicken for at least a couple hours. When you're ready to grill, skewer it and throw it on.
The Sauce Of My Dreams:
*1/2 cup mayo
*1 clove minced garlic (I use the pre-minced stuff in the jar)
*1TBSP Soy Sauce
*2TSP honey
Stir and refrigerate.
If you have a gluten allergy, sub Liquid Aminos for the soy sauce. It tastes the same and is GF.
That's all for this week. Happy Shopping!
