TMSG:Fan's Sign For Beer Money Leads To Thousands Of Donations For Hospital

24-year-old Carson King was just hoping for a little money for beer with his "College GameDay" sign that he held up at their stop in Ames, Iowa.

King's sign read "Busch Light Supply Needs Replenished" with his Venmo name written out. He ended up raising a lot more money then he expected, hitting roughly $600. Because of this he decided he would donate the proceeds to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.

Well after the news of his choice to donate to the local children's hospital got out, Busch Light responded to King's tweet. They said, "This is the best thing we have read all year, and we're inspired." They're not only matching King's donation, but they are also providing King a year's worth of free beer.

Also getting in on the action, Venmo said they would also match King's donations saying, "We see a lot of great stories, but this is one of our favs. Count us in for matching the donation to the hospital, too."

King's mom wrote the latest update on Facebook saying, "Donations to Carson's project are at more than $22,000, and that doesn't even included the pledges of matching funds from Busch and Venmo! He's beyond excited and so happy to see the support from so many! Thanks to everyone for the encouragement."
