This weekend was a BUSY weekend! On Friday night, my best friend's had their gender reveal party and I was responsible for finding out! I knew before everyone and had to not blow it for 2 whole hours. I'm proud to say that I succeeded and that they are going to have a little boy!
Saturday I played in a golf tournament at my homestead, Elk River Golf Club! The weather SUCKED, but I had a blast with all of my friends up there! Drinks were had, but I had to limit myself...
Now, the reason I had to limit myself on Saturday was because I ran the Twin Cities 10 Miler on Sunday! I have NEVER been a runner, so I knew this was going to be tough for me to do. After my training, I had 2 goals: 1) Run the entire time 2) Average about 10-10:30 minute miles. I am proud to say that I did both and actually ran faster than my goal! Although, I will argue that the run was longer than 10 minutes. Below is my official time from Twin Cities In Motion and what my Fitbit said I did.
I don't know that I'm eager to do it again, but it was a beautiful run and a beautiful day for a run, despite being a little chilly. The run ended by the Capitol building in St. Paul and below is the view of my last quarter mile of the run.
My sister-in-law also ran in it. She's a lot faster than me, but we still got a picture together.
