It was a long weekend & I tried to enjoy every second of it! It started on Thursday. After the morning show on Thursday, I played in the annual Dylan Witschen golf tournament. Dylan was a kid from Anoka that died from childhood cancer at 16. He would be my age. In the years since Dylan passed, his foundation has raised over $1 million for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital! I never got to know Dylan, but I feel honored to know his family and help with his legacy.
On Friday morning, I headed to Arizona for my friend Sav's bachelorette party! Friday was a LONG day. My flight left Minneapolis in 6:30am and I landed at 7:30am in Arizona, so it was a marathon of a day. We spent most of the day by the pool before going out in our "rock" attire on Friday night. Let's be real, it was HOT in Arizona, so I tried to remain as comfortable as possible.
Saturday, we got our lives together and spent most of the day by the pool again, before being picked up in a HUMMER LIMO!
I headed back on Sunday, while the rest of the group came back on Memorial Day. So since I got back in the middle of the day, Matt and I headed up to my best friend's cabin for a bit. It was our first boat ride of the year!
On Monday, I was supposed to play in an annual golf outing, but it was canceled because of the weather. So, I instead spent the day doing laundry and watching trash TV to chase away the Sunday (Monday) scaries. I have no regrets, but I do wish I had a weekend from the weekend!
