When the pandemic started it was toilet paper that everyone was hoarding to the point that there was a shortage, now it seems that pop is the next thing!
If you're favorite pop is Dr. Pepper, you might be finding it difficult to find it in stores. According to Newsweek, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group told them, "We know it's harder to find Dr Pepper these days. We're working on it—hang tight!" In a Tweet, the company didn't specify why there is a shortage, but confirmed it is working with "distribution partners to keep shelves stocked nationwide."
Not only is Dr. Pepper experiencing a shortage but so is Coca-Cola, "Due to extreme demand on certain products we are temporarily putting our focus on producing more of those beverages," the company tweeted. That was in response to high demand for Cherry Vanilla Coke Zero.
Another reason there is a shortage is because aluminum cans are in a tight supply with so many people buying more multi-packs of pop to consume at home.
Well... I guess this means I'll just have to start hoarding Cherry Coke just in case there is a shortage of that!
