Growing up in Chicago... well the South Side of Chicago, I have heard tons of stories of Al Capone with underground tunnels from houses to bars. One of my childhood friends moved to a town over from me and one day his Dad was in the basement and found a secret doorway and the there was a tunnel that was blocked off halfway through. After researching they found out it was one of Al Capone's houses from back in the day during prohibition. I wish they would have found what this couple found.
A couple in Ames, New York, were doing some remodeling on their house and found a secret passage in their house and it was filled with prohibition-era whiskey, according to The Takeout! Could you imagine finding whiskey from the 1920s?
The couple did admit that they’re going to taste one bottle and plan to leave a bunch of the bottles under the hardwood floor, and maybe install a glass panel so visitors can see the packages beneath. That would be so cool to see! You can check out the video of it below.
