Whoa, this is probably one crazy way to find a missing person!
The skull of a man who had been missing for eight years was discovered wearing sunglasses and sitting on the fireplace mantel of a Morgan County, Tennessee resident’s home back in March, according to BroBible. Could you imagine thinking you have some replica skull sitting on your mantle only to discover it's real and from a man who had been missing for 8 years?!
The DNA tests were performed by the Knox County Regional Forensics Center and the University of Tennessee Department of Anthropology this week and it was confirmed that the skull was that of Junior Willie McCann who had been missing for 8 years. Apparently he had been missing since September of 2012 and was 79 years old when he went missing. The missing persons report was filed by McCann's brother and stated that he just walked out of the house and never came back. If you're wondering where the skull was found, it was found on the mantle inside of McCann's home! Cadaver dogs were brought in, but there were no signs of McCann’s remains.
Also, the District Attorney General wrote on Facebook about the skull and the missing man which you can read below!
