With Opening Day vastly approaching on April 1st, I hope there are some fans in the stands. There's nothing like enjoying a cold beer and a hot dog while watching your team play.
A list of the booziest baseball fans just come out. According to NJ Online Gambling, they surveyed fans all across the country to ask all about their drinking habits to find out who are the booziest fans in baseball. Now being a Cubs fan, I can't believe we aren't higher on the list. Also you would think the worst that your team is doing the more fans would be drinking. That isn't the case here. Topping the list for the booziest fans in baseball are Chicago White Sox Fans with an average 4.2 drinks per game with an average spend of $46 on alcohol. So where are the Twins Fans and Brewers Fans on the list? Twins fans, you rank 11th with 3.5 drinks per game and an average spending of $29 on alcohol. Brewers fans you're 10th on the list, I mean your team plays in a city where beer is made, how are you not higher on the list? Brewers fans have an average of 3.5 drinks but their average spending is $35 on alcohol. Just in case any of my fellow Cubs fans are reading this. We are 14th on the list with an average of 3.4 drinks per game and an average spending of $45 on alcohol. If you want to see where other team's fans rank, you can check out the list below.
