It's a no brainer that Kirill Kaprizov should win the Calder, but with our luck as Minnesota teams we're used to getting snubbed. However, tonight that is not the case!
Kirill Kaprizov has been one of the best rookies for the Minnesota Wild, and it showed when he won the Calder Memorial Trophy during the NHL Awards. He received 99 out of 100 first place votes... I wonder who that one person was that had to be difficult?! Anyway, Kaprizov broke the rookie franchise record with 27 goals and 51 points in 56 regular season games, according to Fox 9. He lead all NHL Rookies in goals and points. Congrats to Kirill Kaprizov on winning the Calder!
