We are 3 days away from Opening Day, with the lockout this year it felt like there wasn't going to be an Opening Day. Well, it looks like we might have to wait until Friday to see the Twins take the field at Target Field.
The Minnesota Twins are thinking about pushing back Opening Day to Friday because of the nasty weather on Thursday. The weather for Thursday has a high of 40 with a mixture of rain and snow showers and wind gusts of up to 40mph. Friday however would be better baseball weather with the high of 43 and partly cloudy skies. The Twins Vice President of Communications told Bring Me The News, "we are watching weather closely. Any decision to shift the Opener to Friday will be made a minimum of 24 hours prior to Thursday's scheduled game time."
If you plan on going to the game just make sure you're checking social media and news outlets to stay up to date if the Twins are moving Opening Day to Friday.
