I remember having an iPod and making sure I had all the cool new songs on it, even if it did mean giving my computer thousands of viruses from LimeWire. Oh come on, what teen didn’t do that? But it looks like it’s an end of an era.
After nearly 22 years, Apple is stopping production of the devices that changed consumer electronics and led to the creation of the iPhone, according to the New York Times. The last iPod that was in production was the iPod Touch and Apple announced Tuesday that it was stopping production on those and thus making the iPod a thing of the past.
