Jimmie Allen Announces New Star-Studded EP, 'Bettie James'

Jimmie Allen has recruited some of country music's best talent for his upcoming EP Bettie James.

The seven-song EP, dropping on July 10, will feature collaborations with Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, Charley Pride, Mickey Guyton, Nelly, Noah Cyrus, The Oak Ridge Boys, Rita Wilson, Tauren Wells and Tim McGraw.

"I am a fan of every artist on this project and humbled to have each one of them be a part of it," Allen said in a statement. "Each artist has touched the life of my dad, my grandmother and me through their music. I’m proud of this body of music and thankful to every writer that helped me create Bettie James."

The EP is named after Allen's late father, James Allen, and his late grandmother, Bettie Snead.

"My dad and grandmom were two completely different people, but both played a huge part in my life," Allen shared. "Since they died, I have been wanting to leave trails of their legacies throughout my music."

Earlier this year, Allen released the EP's lead single, "This Is Us," which is a duet with Cyrus. Other song titles from the forthcoming EP have not been shared yet.

Bettie James was co-produced by Allen with Ash Bowers, who co-produced his debut, Mercury Lane. The 2018 debut project includes Allen's No. 1 hit, "Best Shot" and "Make Me Want To."

Stay tuned for more details to come on Allen's new EP. Bettie James is set for release on July 10.
