Coronavirus COVID-19 Closings & Postponements

With growing concerns surrounding The Coronavirus and COVID-19 we've seen a growing number of closings or postponements of public events. Below is a running list of known school and public event closings or postponements in our area that might have an effect on our communities.

Bethany Lutheran College - Classes cancelled week of 3/16

Carrot Top Show - Postponed until further notice

Dan & Shay concert: Rescheduled to August 29th

Jason Aldean at Xcel Energy - Show rescheduled for August 8th

Junior Volleyball Association - Practices and Tournaments postponed or cancelled through March 26th [source]

Kenny Chesney Concert May 2nd - Postponed, expected to be rescheduled.

Lanco Concert: Postponed

Live Nation Tours - All tours have been paused including Billie Eilish, Jason Aldean, Zac Brown Band, Cher, Post Malone, Kiss, Lynard Skynard, Christ Stapleton, Tool and others.

Loppet World Cup - Cancelled

Minneapolis St. Patrick's Day Parade - Cancelled

Minnesota Gophers Baseball - Series vs Air Force has been cancelled. [source]

Minnesota Gophers MBB - The Big Ten Tournament has been cancelled

Minnesota Gophers Women's Gymnastics - Home meet on March 14th has been cancelled

Minnesota Schools - Closed by March 18th, until at least March 27th

Minnesota Timberwolves -- All NBA games have been suspended until further notice

Minnesota Twins - MLB has officially suspended remaining spring training games and delayed the start of the regular season two weeks

Minnesota United FC - The MLS season has been suspended until further notice

Minnesota Wild - The NHL has suspended the remainder of the regular season. More details coming soon.

MSHSL Postseason Tournaments - Will go on as scheduled but attendance has been restricted to rostered participants, coaches, event staff, TV partners, credentialed media and a small number of school approved spectators [source]

MSHSL Girls Basketball State Tournament - Cancelled

MSHSL Boys Basketball Section & State Tournament - Cancelled

MSHSL Adapted Floor Hockey - Will go on as scheduled but attendance has been restricted to rostered participants, coaches, event staff, TV partners, credentialed media and a small number of school approved spectators. Consolation and third place games cancelled. [source]

MYAS Basketball - Youth state tournaments have been suspended [source]

NCAA March Madness Tournament - Both the men's and women's tournaments have been cancelled

NCAA Wrestling Championship - Event closed to public.

NCHC Tournament - 2020 NCHC Tournament has been cancelled effective immediately [source]

Rage Against the Machine Concert - Postponed

South Dakota Schools: Closed

St. Paul St. Patrick's Day Parade - Cancelled

St. Thomas Academy - Classes cancelled 3/12 & 3/13

The Lumineers concert - Postponed and re-scheduled for September 24th [statement]

Twin Cities Auto Show - Cancelled

University of Minnesota - In person classes cancelled across all five campuses, coursework moved to online - until at least April 1, 2020

University of St. Thomas - Will begin online classes on Monday, March 16th. Campus operations remain open. [source]

USGA Gymnastics Meets - Cancelled all meets

USHL - Season has been suspended [source]

Visitation School - Classes cancelled 3/12 & 3/13

Walker Art Center - All programs canceled until April 15th. Galleries remain open.

WCHA Hockey - Remainder of postseason has been cancelled [source]

WIAA State Tournament - Remaining games in girls State Tournament and Boys Sections and State Tournament have been cancelled.

Wisconsin Schools: Closed through April 5th
