According to Bring Me The News, nothing has been confirmed at this stage, police have shared a video of the event last night which you can see below that captured the flash, which was followed very quickly by something flashing through the sky, followed seconds later by the boom.
"Based on all the details and now video, it is looking likely this was a meteor," the department said.
