Avoid traveling today (Wednesday) between the hours of 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. That's when Thanksgiving traffic is at its peak -- and there's a mix of rush hour traffic in there as well. If you can't leave until Thanksgiving Day, be sure to leave before noon or after 4 p.m. Google the hours between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day are the worst.
