These Movies are Getting Crazy... First Cocaine Bear, Now Meth Gator

In a surprising turn of events, "Cocaine Bear" has snorted its way to a whopping $23.1 million in its opening weekend. I mean, who wouldn't want to watch a bear on a bender? The title alone made it a viral sensation.

Of course, with success comes imitation. And boy, does "Attack of the Meth Gator" sound like a masterpiece. I mean, who wouldn't want to watch a mutated alligator on drugs? It's like "Jaws" meets "Breaking Bad."

But let's be real here, The Asylum isn't exactly known for quality cinema. Their movies are cheap and mostly awful. We're talking "Snakes on a Train," "Ape vs. Monster," "Transmorphers," and "Sinister Squad." And let's not forget the masterpiece that was "Sharknado." I actually did like that one.

So, don't expect "Meth Gator" to win any Oscars. It'll probably go straight to DVD and On Demand. But who cares? After the success of "Cocaine Bear" The Asylum is giving the people what they want.
