Have you ever wondered what people call their partners in different states? Well, some genius analyzed tweets from all 50 states to find out the most popular pet names. They did however excluded the basic ones like "babe" and "honey."
Apparently, "cutie" is the most used nickname in nine states. I guess people really like to state the obvious here in Minnesota, over in Wisconsin, as well as in Arizona, Kentucky, Missouri, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Utah, and Washington.
Meanwhile, "baby daddy" is popular in the south, with Georgia, Michigan, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia taking the lead.
But wait, there's more! New York and Montana have a thing for "sugar daddy," which is not surprising because those two states have a lot of wealthy retirees. And for some reason, Nevada is really into "hunk."
Women in Wyoming are calling their partners "my boy..." it's like they're dating their own son. And let's not forget about Alabama, where "sweet cakes" is apparently a term of endearment. I don't know about you, but that just makes me hungry for some cupcakes.
