Shopping Finds: Amy's 3 Favorite Things Of The Week (6/25)

I have not been paid to recommend any of these products. Here are three things I'm loving this week! Let's get started...

1: A Red Sangria That Tastes *So Good* And Packs A Punch

Last night, we had Rainy Lake walleye at my family's house with all my friends from school. It was a really fun night. Lots of laughs, old memories shared, a tour of the bonsai garden, unbelievable food and...my sangria.

It's super easy. Here's the recipe. I tripled it :)

1 Bottle Garnacha (also called Grenache) or Pinot Noir (that's what I used)

1/2 cup Brandy

1 to 2 TBSP Maple Syrup

1 Lemon, sliced

1 orange, sliced

Chopped Fruit. I used apples, pineapple and raspberries. You can use whatever you've got.

Throw it in a pitcher. Let the flavors meld. Serve over ice. I scoop a little fruit into the glass. If it's too strong, top with some club soda.

2: Candle Stick Holders

I really want to do a grouping of old and new candle sticks somewhere in the house. I love the eclectic look and they can make a big statement for a relatively price tag- especially if you're willing to do some secondhand hunting! I got this candelabra for Christmas. It's what got this idea started...

3: Collagen Powder

Well, I'm on the collagen train.

I'd been hearing about using it for hair and nails but when I read it can also help with joint pain, I figured, "What the hell, why not give it a try?" I have autoimmune issues and joint stiffness is a constant. I don't know if it's the summer heat, the collagen, a placebo effect or a little bit of everything combined...but I've been feeling pretty frickin' fantastic! I'm using this one...

After doing more research, it seems collagen with Types I, II and III is the way to go. Next time around, I'll be ordering this one.

That's all for this week. Happy Shopping!
