How are people decorating their Christmas trees this year??
Whether you get a real or artificial tree, it’s all about the decorating. You can stay traditional with your tree trimming style, or you can get trendy. Here are the top 5 Christmas decorating trends this year.
- Ribbons and bows. Designer Heather Taylor says, "It is absolutely ‘The Year of the Bow.'"
- Non-traditional colors. Try replacing the usual reds and greens with blues and pinks. Designer Emily Henderson says, "Use whatever colors make you the happiest."
- Handcrafted paper decorations. Decorators say go ahead and make paper chain garlands and hand-cut snowflakes.
- Nostalgia. Choose some old vintage-looking ornaments for the tree that take you down memory lane.
- More trees. Why have just one tree in the living room? Try putting a small tree in every room of the house.
*This is what I've embraced. Our house isn't big enough to have one big tree, so I've got 5 small tree throughout :)
