This is NUTS! An OBGYN in Kentucky had just put on her hospital gown when she “overheard the nurses preparing for a woman in active labor who needed to deliver immediately because the baby was in distress."
The OBGYN had been waiting for her own induction and delivery, but she leapt into action to help the other expecting mother. The other woman was fully dilated and waiting for the doctor on-call to return to the hospital for the delivery.
But the OBGYN knew there was no time to spare, so she shot up to help the woman in need. The medical team successfully delivered a baby girl, and OBGYN Hess welcomed her own infant daughter — Ellen Joyce.
