Single Mom's Story About Trader Joe's Cashier Goes Viral

A woman's story of an interaction she had with a Trader Joe's employee this week is going viral for all the right reasons. She posted the story to Reddit, check it out below.

I was checking out at the register and the cashier and I got to chatting briefly. I was saying how surprised I was at getting out of the grocery store spending only $40, and I mentioned it’s just me and the kids. I thanked her and walked out.

She ran outside with a bouquet of purple roses and asked “you are a single mom right?” I told her yes. “Here, these are for you.”

I couldn’t thank her enough before she ran inside back to her shift.

It made me feel so amazing. The last time I got a bouquet of flowers were anytime my ex boyfriend was apologizing (toxic and dishonest relationship). She doesn’t know that their father hasn’t seen the kids in 5 years, or hasn’t paid child support ever or that I’m busting my butt working, going to school full time, dealing with heartache, and trying to be a decent parent. But I hope she knows I’m so thankful for her kind gesture and how much it meant.

If you’re on reddit, thank you. You are an amazing kind woman and your kindness is an even greater gift than the beautiful roses.
