This couple got married in 1955 and had 5 children together. Sadly after 12 years, they decided that they were better as friends and divorced. They have been divorced for the last 50 years, but when they attended a family reunion together, sparks flew once again.
According to the Lexington Herald Leader:
By December, 2017, the two former spouses were talking marriage. He’s now 83. She’s 78.
“We decided we want to walk the last mile together,” Harold Holland said.
Their grandson Joshua Holland, a minister from New Orleans, will perform the ceremony on April 14 at Trinity Baptist Church.
