It’s safe to say that a lot of Americans made a New Year's resolution to lose weight in 2019, which means a lot of people are probably trying to figure out the best way to do it. Well "U.S. News & World Report" is here to help, releasing the results of their 2019 Best Diets list, with health experts ranking 40 diets in categories like Best Overall Diet, Best Weight Loss Diet and more.
The Mediterranean Diet, which puts an emphasis on fruits and vegetables, olive oil, fish and other healthy fare, was named the Best Overall Diet for a second year in a row, although last year it tied with the DASH diet for first place. This year DASH, which previously held the top spot for eight consecutive years, is in second. And that’s not all. The Mediterranean Diet also tops the list for the Easiest Diet to Follow, Best Diet for Healthy Eating, Best Diet for Diabetes and Best Diet for Heart Health.
Meanwhile Weight Watchers, or WW as they are known now, tops the list for Best Commercial Diet and Best Weight Loss Diet.
