It's official. The "Friends" reunion special is happening. It'll be available along with the entire series when HBO Max officially launches. There's no word yet when that'll be. All six main cast members are coming back: Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer. And they're all making between $2.5 million and $3 million.
They negotiated as a group . . . just like they did back in the day to get their salaries raised to $1 million per episode, which was a record at the time. Just to be clear, this is NOT going to be a scripted revival of "Friends". Probably more like a clip show where the cast reminisces.
Two of the show's creators will also be on hand. (Hollywood Reporter)
