There are hundreds of tests out there that will help you determine if you’re an introvert or an extrovert. But one article from inc.com suggests it really all comes down to one question: What energizes you?
Keep in mind that introversion and extroversion exist on a spectrum, meaning that a lot of people aren't 100% introverted or extroverted. You could land somewhere in between. Introverts aren’t as shy and quiet as you might expect and extroverts aren’t always loud or the life of the party.
Here’s the difference between extroverts and introverts in terms of what energizes them.
- Extroverts are “energized” by crowds of people and spending time with others.
- Introverts are energized by quiet time to themselves which allows them to reflect on their inner thoughts.
