Tanya Tucker had to cancel an upcoming performance as she recovers from a medical procedure.

The legendary country star shared a statement from the venue — SummerStage in Central Park, located in New York City — on her Instagram story on Thursday (September 14). Organizers wrote in a statement:

“We regret to inform you that tonight’s [Tanya Tucker] performance at SummerStage in Central Park has been canceled. Tanya is recovering from a medical procedure on her neck and while she was hoping to be further along in her recovery process, her biggest priority is taking care of her health so she can put on the best show possible for her fans. We wish Tanya a quick recovery and are sending her all of our well wishes. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.”

Tucker’s latest album, Sweet Western Sound, made its debut earlier this year, adding to iconic hits spanning her career. Earlier this year, Vince Gill revealed that Tucker is among the class of 2023 Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum inductees, alongside Patty Loveless in the Modern Era Artist category and Bob McDill in the Songwriter category (which is awarded every third year, in rotation with the Recording and/or Touring Musician and Non-Performer categories).

“It was wonderful to have all three of my kids beside me when I got the news,” Tucker said in a statement when she was announced as a Hall of Fame inductee. “The only way it could’ve been any better is if my parents Beau and Juanita Tucker could have been there too. They are the reason and the root of all my success in music. And the fans — they are everything! When I walk in that Hall they will all be with me.”
