Carly Pearce has performed on iconic stages at venues around the world, but even the award-winning country star has played some unusual shows over the years.
Pearce invited Instagram users to ask her anything, and she responded to some of the questions on her story on Tuesday morning (January 14). One person wanted to know the âstrangest placeâ Pearce has ever played, and the hummingbird singer-songwriter replied: âI, when I was 14 years old, played at an all-boys prison.â
Pearce didnât share other details about the performance at the prison; however, she shared an update on her beloved dogs, Johnny and June (theyâre âperfect little angelsâ), responded to a question about her preferred makeup products, and offered a vague response to a question about new music.
The question arrived after Pearce shared a few teasers on her social media accounts, including glimpses of the âtruck on fireâ hitmaker recording music. She also unveiled her favorite verse from an unreleased ballad in a new clip on Monday (January 13). She previously shared a sneak peek of the song, featuring the lyrics: âNo clouds, no lining/ No dirt, no diamond/ No low, no high/ No wrong, no right/ No break, no fixing/ No lose, no winning/ May might bring showers/ But no rain, no flowers.â
The Instagram user asked whether Pearceâs teasers indicated a deluxe edition of hummingbird, the record Pearce released in June, or would she release a new album? But the answer remains unclear as of publication time. Pearce simply responded with a shrug. Listen to Pearce's latest teaser here:
