Squirrel Gets Tipsy On Fermented Fruit

A woman working from home likes to feed the squirrels in her yard. Often she finds things in the refrigerator that she and her family aren't going to eat.

Last week, she noticed that one of the squirrels appeared to be very tipsy and about to fall over. It was then that she realized that the pears she had placed outside must have been spoiled enough that they were fermenting and producing alcohol, much like grapes do when they produce wine.

In the interview, the woman says that after noticing the squirrel's inebriation, she gathered up the rest of the fruit and disposed of it. The squirrel appeared to be back the next day and was doing just fine!
