If you're wondering why your neighbor's lawn looks better than yours and why the grass literally looks greener on the other side, it could be your lawnmower blade.
According to the video, and some 'personal research' a dull blade can cause your lawn to look brown. When it's sharp, the grass looks lush green.
At least once a season I remove my blade and head to my neighbor's bench grinder in the garage. I have no idea what I'm doing but I try to just clean up the edge by smoothing out any divots and removing the rust. I can usually see an immediate difference.
It's possible I am toking the blade imbalanced but hopefully not enough to make it noticeable on my lawn or to be bad for my engine.
Eventually everyone just needs a new blade. Replacement might be an easier alternative to sharpening the blades.
