What we’ve quickly found out over the last couple of weeks is $1,200 does not get you far in America.
According to a new survey, 84% of us would like to receive a second round of stimulus help during the coronavirus. The survey estimates 160 million Americans are less than three months away from going broke and a staggering 29% of people are less than one month away from completely draining their savings.
Where's that money going? About half plan to use their stimulus money for rent, 26% are going to buy food or save it, and only 4% said they would be using a piece of it for “non-essentials.” A whopping 91% of the study admitted they’re going to use stimulus money on booze, tobacco or some other drugs.
