Feeling Down? Try A Random Act Of Kindness

Kindness word from wooden blocks

After more than a month in lockdown, we’re all going a little stir crazy.

Psychiatrist Jud Brewer emphasizes the importance, right now, of random acts of kindness. The doctor says, (quote) “Make kindness your new habit. Pay attention to how it feels when you help -- when you connect. Lock that reward into your brain.”

Random acts can be simple. Thank a delivery driver or your grocer. Call a friend. Write a note to an elderly neighbor. Allow a stranger to cut in line.

Remember how it feels to be treated with kindness. Pass that warm feeling to another person. Everybody is growing restless, right now. Your random act of kindness might soothe another’s soul.
