Reese Witherspoon's Draper James: 3 Teachers File Class Action Lawsuit

2020 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Hosted By Radhika Jones - Arrivals

First, let me say...I love what Reese Witherspoon has been doing in Hollywood. The content she's creating, the stories she's choosing to tell with her production company. BIG fan. I posted about the dress giveaway from her company Draper James around the beginning of the pandemic. Here's what's happened since...

Three school teachers filed a class action lawsuit against Reese Witherspoon and her lifestyle company, Draper James.

Near the beginning of the pandemic, a promotional offer by Draper James pledged to give teachers a free dress “while supplies last.” More than one million instructors submitted entries including “sensitive education employment ID info.” These teachers did not realize that Draper James limited the give-away to only 250 dresses.

Not even enough to clothe the teachers in one small city.

The lawsuit claims Draper James did not clearly state the extremely limited supply. The promotional offer in early April said (quote) “To show our gratitude, Draper James would like to give teachers a free dress.”
