Here's what it looked like as Hurricane Laura Hit...

Hurricane Laura was the strongest storm to hit Louisiana in more than 100 years, but although it wasn't quite as catastrophic as was predicted, it still left a large path of destruction and resulted in six deaths.

Laura is now a tropical depression crossing Arkansas and moving into the lower Ohio valley as it continues to track east. The historic storm surge that was predicted for the Louisiana coast never quite materialized, although some areas like Lake Charles are under water. Hundreds of thousands of people are without power and water, and will be for a long time, and an unknown number of homes and buildings were destroyed.
