Finally, a little *potential* good news when it come to Covid-19...
We are 9 months into this pandemic and wearing a mask has become as normal as grabbing your keys when heading out the door but maybe there is an end in sight.
According to news reports today, Pfizer said early data showed its vaccine was more than 90 percent effective in preventing Covid-19.
Pfizer and German partner BioNTech SE are the first drugmakers to show successful data from a large-scale clinical trial of a coronavirus vaccine.
Pfizer expects to seek broad U.S. emergency use authorization of the vaccine for people aged 16 to 85. To do so, it will need to have collected two months of safety data on around half of the study's roughly 44,000 participants, expected in late November.
Now when will this vaccine be available for us? Who will get it first? We do not know these answers yet. But let's hope this is the first step back into some normalcy.
