DAX SHEPARD opened up about his recent relapse on Chelsea Clinton's "In Fact" podcast. He said that he and his wife KRISTEN BELL were very open with their kids about it.
Which wasn't too hard, because they've always known about daddy's addiction issues. Maybe they know a little too much.
One time when their oldest daughter was three, Dax was getting ready to leave for an AA meeting. She asked him why he had to go, and he said, quote, "Because I'm an alcoholic and if I don't go there, then I'll drink and then I'll be a terrible dad."
She asked Dax if she could go too, and he said no, you have to be an alcoholic. So she said, quote, "I'm gonna be an alcoholic."
And he claims he told her, quote, "You might become one. The odds are not in your favor, but you're not there yet."
