Show Your Enthusiasm. There’s a reason why you don’t see any tepid hosts on infomercials. Excitement is motivating. When someone is pumped about what they’re talking about, it creates positive emotions around it, and, as a result, positive relationships as well.
Make People Feel Like They Matter. You like to feel heard and seen don’t you? Well… so does everyone else. Be the person to give them those feelings. Alarid says to “compliment them, acknowledge them, and be wowed by them.” The only catch is it has to be genuine. If it isn’t, they’ll know and it will be the opposite of impressive.
