Pantone has announced that its color of the year for 2022 is “Very Peri.” The shade is a “periwinkle blue with violet-red undertones. The company says was designed with the digital world in mind
Also, this is the first time in the 22 years that Pantone has been naming a color of they year that they created a brand new color for it.
Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute says creating a new one “reflects the global innovation and transformation taking place.” Very Peri is described as a “dynamic periwinkle blue with a vivifying violet-red undertone that blends the faithfulness and constancy of blue with the energy and excitement of red.”
